garden inspiration… #crocus

Hello, lovely friends. No, I’m not dead. I’ve just been hibernating apparently, lol. As spring approaches, however, I find renewed interest in all of my creative outlets & thought it high time┬áto dust off my blog. I hope this finds all of you healthy, whole & happy. Much love, s. xoxo

garden inspiration… #greenhouses

Let’s just say I have greenhouse envy. I have neither the space nor the amount of sunlight needed (big trees, lots of shade) for one, but oooh! they look so nice! I hope that in another life I not only had a greenhouse, but people that made it all fabulous for me and did all of the work, so I could just pop in and admire the orchids and perhaps take tea there. I mean, come on… If I’m wishing & whatnot. These are a few of my favorites… Enjoy these & your lovely weekends, my friends. xoxo

wonderful words… #gandhi

I don’t know about you, but at times like these, I’m a little overwhelmed (perhaps even assaulted) by humanity. I know that for me the tragedy of it all then makes all of the soul-restoring kindnesses that then happen even that much more potent. I am left a little raw. I saw a comment on Instagram yesterday about “an eye for an eye” and before I could even type it, someone else had written, “an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”. I went from despair to relief faster than you can imagine. All of this emotion would normally take it’s toll, but I see so much love in the world, so much hope. It gives me hope that people realize that more violence is not the answer. I wrote on my personal Facebook that I don’t understand why we’re not spending our national defense budgets differently. We could literally take a small piece of it and help re-build areas of conflict – build schools, hospitals, you name it – and it would do more to further our ends than perpetuating this endless cycle of hatred and retribution that we’re embroiled in. Dare I say addicted to? Please don’t let fear & hatred change who you are. You are kind and loving and compassionate. Act accordingly. Speak accordingly. I love all of you so much. Have a lovely day, my friends. xoxo
